The interview went viral in record time, garnering a whopping 110 million views within just a few hours of being broadcast.
During the discussion, Trump suggested that the U.S. might experience escalating political unrest, mentioning that the nation’s tensions were mounting. When questioned by anchor Tucker Carlson about the potential for direct clashes, Trump remarked:
“I don’t know. I can say this: There’s a level of passion that I’ve never seen. There’s a level of hatred that I’ve never seen. And that’s probably a bad combination.”
Short-lived pump?
It didn’t take long for the viral effects of the interview to send ripple effects across the NFT sector.

The Trump Digital Trading Cards, hosted on the Polygon blockchain, experienced a 67% surge in trading volume. Marketplace OpenSea recorded the collection raking in over 17 ether in trade volume.
The floor price of the collection, valued at around 0.1 ETH, also experienced a rise of 14%. The collectible cards are now valued at 0.13 ETH, which equates to just above $215.
Presidential NFTs
Last December saw Trump’s foray into the NFT realm, releasing a series of 45,000 fantasy cards priced at $99 each. These cards, showcasing Trump in designs reminiscent of traditional baseball cards, flew off the virtual shelves but were not free from controversy. Allegedly, copyrighted images were used to create the collection.
There’s a twist for collectors. Anyone who snapped up one of these digital cards is automatically in the running for a “sweepstakes.” Winners could be in for a range of exclusive Trump encounters, ranging from a virtual Zoom call to an intimate dinner in Miami or even a cocktail hour at the prestigious Mar-a-Lago.
According to recent data, a digital wallet tagged “6D65A7” emerged as the major holder, boasting a collection of 602 Trump NFT cards. Close behind is the “72F891” wallet with 500 cards. Interestingly, neither party has expressed intentions to sell.
Trump made millions on NFTs and is an Ethereum whale
In a revealing turn, Trump has been unveiled as a significant cryptocurrency player. As of early August, the former president and frontrunner Republican candidate for the forthcoming election possessed $2.8 million in Ether. Further sweetening his digital pot, he accrued approximately $4.87 million in licensing revenues off his NFT collection.
