Timed perfectly to align with “Slurpee Day” (July 11, also known as 7/11), the renowned franchise unveils its foray into the intriguing realm of NFTs. Their introduction into this world comes as a slurp-worthy proposal – complimentary Slurpee NFTs; all forged on the robust infrastructure of the Polygon network.

As articulated by Marissa Jarratt, 7-Eleven’s Executive Vice President and Chief Marketing & Sustainability Officer, 7-Eleven consistently seeks innovative and original methods to celebrate their favorite day of the year alongside their customers. This shift towards the digital signifies a savvy marketing move and an engaging and fun way for the brand to connect with its customer base.
A sweet claim to digital collectibles
Aspiring collectors are in for a treat. The process begins with the virtual filling of a 7-Eleven Slurpee cup, followed by a chance to claim the “Slurpee Vibe Digital Collectible” or to go back and start over.
When contentment meets creation, the collector can opt to ‘claim now’, triggering the next screen where they input their name, email address, and telephone number. A six-digit code will be emailed, and with this, the collector can officially claim their Slurpee NFT. The digital collectible is then minted, and a new wallet on the Polygon blockchain is created to hold the freshly brewed Slurpee token.
An icy grand finale
The launch of this digital collectible coincides with 7-Eleven Inc.’s 96th birthday, culminating in a grand finale of Slurpee Day celebrations. Customers nationwide are invited to enjoy a free small Slurpee drink at participating 7-Eleven, Speedway, and Stripes stores, and now, to claim a piece of digital asset history.
But the celebration doesn’t stop here. This year’s 7/11 Birthday Collection features custom merchandise, including 7-Eleven-inspired party decor and trimmings such as apparel, balloons, and wrapping paper, exclusively available on 7Collection™, the retailer’s online shop.

The digital treat comes in four delightful flavors: Cherry, Blue Raspberry, Pina Colada, and Summertime Citrus. Available only on mobile devices, this digital collectible game lets Slurpee enthusiasts create their dream concoction. “Maybe you’ll even give us some inspiration for future flavors,” quipped Jarratt.
