To get a hold of these NFTs, fans first need to create an account at Sorare. They can instantly secure the Palestrino cards and build their team to compete in the fantasy game. The NFTs’ value increases based on performance.

Everaldo Coelho, Palmeiras’ marketing director, expressed his enthusiasm:
“We are very pleased to announce this partnership with Sorare, who, like Palmeiras, always thinks fondly of all its fans around the world. Sorare represents the future for football and fantasy fans, and we are grateful to include big names from our current squad in this celebrated product,”
This initiative from Palmeiras’ Marketing Department aims to bridge the gap between the club and its fans. It understands the digital behavior of Palestrinos and creates more interaction with current squad idols. Michael Meltzer, Sorare’s business development director, highlighted the significance of the partnership:
“Palmeiras is a legendary football institution in South America, with millions of passionate fans around the world who root for the greatest champion in Brasileirão history. Sorare is evolving football fandom and constantly seeking ways to bring fans closer to the game and the players they love. We are thrilled to bring Palmeiras to Sorare’s global fantasy game and look forward to users collecting and playing with digital cards of the club’s stars in our weekly competitions,”
Sorare adds another club to its roster
Founded in 2018 in France, Sorare is a global fantasy and marketplace that features officially licensed player NFTs. With Sorare, you build lasting teams – buying, selling, collecting, and trading digital cards. You compete using the cards in free fantasy competitions to win rewards week after week, season after season, just like a legitimate club owner.
Sorare is among the world’s most popular fantasy sports platforms. It boasts over five million users across 185 countries and more than 300 sports entity partners. These include the Premier League (England), La Liga (Spain), Bundesliga (Germany), Serie A (Italy), MLS, and NBA (both from the United States).
The brand also counts on ambassadors like Lionel Messi, Kylian Mbappé, and Serena Williams. Soccer superstar Lionel Messi is known for being diligent in endorsing blockchain-based projects, further adding to the reputation of Sorare.
Soccer is incredibly popular in South America, especially Brazil. With the new Palmeiras NFT cards, Sorare aims to broaden its player base in the Brazilian market. Hopefully, the investment will pay off as Verdão fans feverously collect their favorite players.
