Oasys collaborates with Yu Suzuki to launch the first NFT project
Oasys, a gaming-optimized blockchain developed for gamers by gamers, has collaborated with Yu Suzuki to launch the OASYX NFT project on Dec 7.
OASYX to create various NFTs
OASYX will be the first NFT project developed on the Oasys blockchain. Yu Suzuki, a game development executive, is widely renowned for creating videogame franchises such as Shenmue, Virtual Fighter, and Virtual Racing.
It is expected that OASYX, in conjunction with several artists, creators, and developers who originate from traditional gaming brands, will develop various gaming-related NFTs. The NFTs series will be supervised creatively by Suzuki, and the publication will be done by doublejump.tokyo, a blockchain game developer from Japan. Oasys Director Daiki Moriama stated:

About Suzuki
Suzuki is a famous video game pioneer and was responsible for SEGA’s development and research team for a long time. His inventions have massively steered the Japanese gaming industry forward, both culturally and technologically.
He was inducted into the Academy of Interactive Arts and Sciences and won the Game Developers Choice Award in 2011. He was also recognized for his impact and contribution to the gaming industry globally, being listed at number nine on IGN’s Top 100 Game Creators of All Time list.

Suzuki, alongside GODTAIL, will oversee the entire art direction and theme of the first NFT series of OASYX. GODTAIL is a Japanese digital artist and the brains behind several anime-themed designs and artworks.
The initial bunch will distribute 10,000 characters based on a free-to-own format, serving as future Metaverse avatars. OASYX plans to introduce a more comprehensive NFTs range with additional use cases, including fashion items, new characters, and in-game gadgets. These new use cases will be explored in upcoming NFT collections.
