Manchester City and Power of Women release “Same City, Same Passion” NFT collection
Manchester City has teamed up with Power of Women to unveil a new collection of digital artwork called “Same City, Same Passion”. The NFT drop celebrates the forthcoming Women’s Super League (WSL) Season 2023-24 kick-off.

Manchester City delves deeper into NFTs
The new “Same City, Same Passion” collection is not Manchester City’s first foray into the world of NFTs. The club had previously collaborated with OKX on a commemorative collection. However, the theme of this new drop is quite different, as it spotlights Power of Women’s vivid and provocative designs.
The sale of the collection opened to the public on the 1st of October and will close on the 4th of October at 11:59am GMT. The digital pieces are available on OpenSea at a mint price of 0.03 ETH plus gas fees.
Celebrating womanhood
The collaborative venture between Power of Women and Manchester City debuted on International Women’s Day in March 2023 with a previous collection titled “I am EMPOWERED”. Its primary intent was to honor the variety and enthusiasm pervasive in women’s football, aiming to inspire and motivate the younger generation of players.
In a similar venture, World of Women established a collaboration with the renowned Spanish soccer club Barcelona, resulting in the “Empowerment” NFT drop.
Funding charity causes
A portion of the sales from the new collection will be directed towards Manchester City’s official charity, City in the Community, and Power of Women. This gesture underscores the philanthropic facet of the collaboration, emphasizing a give-back philosophy while also promoting women’s football.
Additionally, the initiative extends a unique offer to collectors. Those who have collected all five digital works from the preceding “I am EMPOWERED” collection by Power of Women x Man City stand to receive a complimentary airdrop of “Same City, Same Passion”.

The exclusivity associated with the collection is palpable as, at the time of writing, a total of 102 NFTs have been minted. According to official sources, there’s a cap set at 50 NFTs per wallet. The ultimate supply of these digital artworks will be determined after the minting phase.
