L’Oréal collaborates with Web3 events company to bring the Brandstorm competition

Reports indicate that L’Oréal recently partnered with RLYT to bring the Brandstorm competition for beauty enthusiasts.
The Brandstorm competition
L’Oréal is a global beauty brand, while its partner RLTY is a metaverse event company. The duo has collaborated to introduce a competition targeting young tech innovators under 30 years.
Due to this collaboration, L’Oréal and RLTY bring the Brandstorm competition, which will help identify and support the top talents.
The 2023 competition took the theme “cracking the new codes of beauty.” To compete and stand a chance of winning, the participants are encouraged to develop augmented beauty projects leveraging modern techs like AI, VR, and, even more, web3 tools.
The projects winning in the finals of this competition will get several benefits, according to reports. The key benefits include an official e-certification courtesy of L’Oréal and reasonable access to Saleforce’s e-learning tool.
Interestingly, the most significant benefit that every team would want to enjoy is the chance to share their ideas directly with L’Oréal’s team of experts.
According to reports, while this competition targets to assist the winning team, over 83k students and experts will participate in this year’s event. The idea is to encourage these students to continue building their careers within the beauty industry.
Talent Acquisition Director at L’Oréal Stefanie Messner recently said:
“Brandstorm has become a universe of opportunities for all the participants, and this year, we’ve decided to push the experience for them further, giving life to a dedicated space in web3.”
L’Oréal’s partnership with RLTY is seen as the brand stepping into the web3 landscape and the metaverse.
The competition’s timeline
The most recent round of the Brandstorm competition was for the semi-finalists and occurred between March 16 and 19. In this period, the teams shortlisted from the previous rounds were bringing their detailed project submissions.
Before this, the first rounds began on Dec. 22 and Feb. 23, when the teams submitted their ideas in general. After completing this round, the top 5 shortlisted teams will present their case to a jury. Later the finalists will enter the national grand finale. Winners will then be semi-finalists in international competitions.
