Kraken officially launches final version of its NFT marketplace

Kraken, one of the largest cryptocurrency trading platforms, has formally transitioned its NFT platform from Beta to an official launch. Kraken NFT is being touted as a comprehensive hub for buying, selling, and learning about Non-Fungible Tokens (NFTs).
Kraken expanding while rivals Coinbase and Binance struggle
As Coinbase and Binance face legal charges from the SEC, Kraken is taking the opportunity to grow its customer base with new offerings.
The Kraken NFT final version includes an expanded NFT collection, growing from an initial count of 70 to over 250. A major part of this growth is the recent integration with the Polygon network, an increasingly popular blockchain in the NFT world.
Along with the integration, Kraken NFT now offers the sought-after Reddit Collectible Avatars collection. This may come as no surprise, as Jesse Powel, the co-founder of Kraken, has consistently been a vocal proponent of Reddit Avatars since their inception.
Kraken NFT – A gateway for trading and learning about NFTs!
Collections were strategically curated by Kraken to support active NFT communities. The curated list features projects like CryptoPunks, Bored Ape Yacht Club, Mfers, and CrypToadz that initially defined the NFT ecosystem.
According to an official blogpost, Kraken has accommodated new, trendy collections like the anime-inspired uwucrew and DigiDaigaku, and the pixel-art collections Nakamigos and Solana Monkey Business.
One of the significant selling points for Kraken NFT is the affordability of the tokens. The platform claims to debunk the myth that NFTs are only accessible to the wealthy, offering thousands of NFTs for less than $100.
Zero-gas fee policy
A major pain point for many NFT enthusiasts, the issue of gas fees, has been addressed by Kraken NFT by not imposing such fees for buying and selling on its platform. Irrespective of market conditions, this zero-gas fee policy makes the platform more accessible to a wider audience.
Ease of transaction is a focus, with Kraken NFT offering users the ability to buy and sell NFTs using their preferred cash or cryptocurrency, without requiring a Web3 crypto wallet or token wrapping. The platform supports over 200 different cryptocurrencies and cash options for bids on NFTs.
Celebrating in Formula 1 style
Kraken has chosen a unique way to celebrate the official launch of their NFT platform. They’ve partnered with the Williams Racing Formula 1 team to offer clients the chance to showcase their NFTs on an F1 car’s rear wing during a race.
While transitioning out of Beta, the company reassured users that it would continue to innovate, promising an “endless list of exciting perks and features.” These include exclusive drops with Williams Racing and gas-free floor sweeping.
