South Korean animator DeeKay Kwon and the mysterious digital art patron, Cozomo de’ Medici, have launched an open-edition artwork on Base, forging a partnership with Coinbase L2 and Friends With Benefits (FWB). A striking testament to its appeal, this initiative garnered an impressive $100,000 within the very first hour of its unveiling.

The unique 24-hour availability, which began on Aug 10 and concluded on August 11 at 9:00 a.m. PT, provides a level of inclusivity seldom seen in the NFT space. Potential collectors without ETH or Base ETH are now afforded the chance to participate using standard credit card methods.
Moreover, for those already invested in the Ethereum ecosystem, there’s an option to bridge their ETH to Base directly through the mint site.

However, a revelation came when the rap mogul Snoop Dogg tweeted, “I am @CozomoMedici”. Yet, even with such a claim, the true identity of Cozomo remains shrouded in mystery.
