Crypto.com partners with studio Dragon for NFT collaboration
Crypto.com, an international cryptocurrency platform, has entered into a Memorandum of Understanding with Studio Dragon.
Crypto.com signs MOU with Studio Dragon
This partnership will promote the display of Studio Dragon’s dramatic intellectual properties as NFTs, allowing K-content to reach a worldwide audience. The initial collaboration between the two firms involves the creation of a special edition of Studio Dragon’s DearRo art toy, inspired by the hit shows “Crash Landing on You” and “Start-Up”. Patrick Yoon, General Manager of Crypto.com’s Korean arm stated:
“We plan to develop new ways for fans around the world to experience K-contents through this MoU with Studio Dragon. Crypto.com will continue to collaborate with large content studios and management companies on their IPs and introduce Korean culture and arts to our 80 million users worldwide.”
DearRo is a playful art toy that has a fondness for Korean dramas and enjoys dressing up as the lead character from its favorite shows. The complete set of 500 NFTs, which includes representation of two worldwide dramatic intellectual properties and costumes for six central characters, will be rolled out in stages. Studio Dragon has revealed plans to showcase NFTs for a fresh Korean drama every three months.
Crypto.com has made a concerted effort to cater to Korean content enthusiasts globally, especially as the Korean NFT industry continues to grow. The firm has unveiled the “Mamamoo NFT Special Collection” and collaborated with the K-pop NFT platform Metabeat to launch music NFTs for the metaverse idol Meta Miu. Additionally, the company has partnered with general entertainment company Fantagio to bring these offerings to the market.
