Co:Create launches Loyalty App with NFTs on Shopify

Co:Create, a company specializing in Web3 infrastructure, has launched a novel application on Shopify, the e-commerce behemoth. The move enables millions of businesses to integrate blockchain-driven loyalty and rewards programs on the platform, including Non-Fungible Tokens (NFTs).

Empowering brands through NFTs and Web3 tools

The application, dubbed Web3 Rewards Tools, empowers brands to deepen their relationships with customers by leveraging NFTs and gamified experiences.

Brands can issue token-based rewards and introduce token-gated products through their own NFT collections or existing projects like Bored Ape Yacht Club and CryptoPunks. The application runs on Polygon, one of the most used layer 2 scaling networks for Ethereum.

While still a significant partnership between the eCommerce giant and Co:Create, NFTs were already available to Shopify merchants. In February, Shopify announced it would enable vendors to unlock new product opportunities, including leverage token gating, exclusive NFT releases, and a plethora of other options.

Co:Create leverages Web3 to boost customer engagement and community building

Tara Fung, the CEO and co-founder of Co:Create, explained they are building an integrated system that helps with community building for brands. Furthermore, she stressed the unique benefits of commerce for startups and newer brands seeking to establish their audiences and engage communities. She contrasted this to larger brands adopting Web3 activations.

“The future of brand engagement and the most exciting brands that people are actually ecstatic about and want to give their advocacy to are often smaller brands that feel very authentic,” – Tara Fung

Fung believes that smaller brands are more inclined to engage their communities rather than using Web3 solely as a marketing strategy.

Co:Create

Co:Create’s application is part of an effort to incorporate more brands into Web3 rewards ecosystems. The company is focused on strengthening the bond between fans and the individuals or brands they admire via real-world experiences.

Just last month, Co:Create joined forces with ticketing application EVNTZ to distribute blockchain-based rewards to attendees at pop singer Harry Styles’ concert at Slade Castle in Ireland. As a result, more than 5,000 fans created wallets to receive NFTs from the English singer and songwriter.
