Binance teams up with Cristiano Ronaldo to release “The GOAT” NFT collection
On Monday, July 3, the next installment of Cristiano Ronaldo and Binance’s multi-year partnership goes live. The second NFT collection, titled “ForeverCR7: The GOAT” (Greatest Of All Time), celebrates Ronaldo’s prolific scoring career and his record-breaking career goal tally of 838.
Best goals immortalized on the blockchain
With over 29,000 NFTs, fans can now “own” digitized moments of Ronaldo’s iconic goals, coupled with exclusive rewards and perks. Goals like #806, which crowned Ronaldo as the top goal scorer of all time, and #649, his self-proclaimed best bicycle kick goal, will be immortalized in this digital collection.
The previous collection was a major success, as highlighted by Binance Co-Founder and Chief Marketing Officer Yi He:
“As the first drop was the most successful athlete NFT collection of all time, we wanted to keep building and creating more value for our community with this second collection,”
The new collection not only honors Ronaldo’s achievements but also demonstrates how Web 3.0 is transforming the sports and entertainment industry.

Exclusive access to signed posters, merchandise, and future drops
The ForeverCR7: The GOAT NFT collection will be available on Binance.com on July 3 at 2 p.m. UTC. The collection comprises artworks for 20 of Ronaldo’s most memorable goals, categorized into four rarity levels: Super Super Rare (SSR), Super Rare (SR), Rare (R), and Normal (N).
Each rarity level boasts its own set of exclusive perks, including personal messages from Cristiano Ronaldo, signed posters, autographed merchandise, future CR7 NFT drops access, and giveaways.
The seven highest-value GOAT NFTs (SSRs) will be auctioned on Binance’s NFT marketplace. Six will be sold directly, and one will be prized at a later date. Bids for these exclusive NFTs, which include perks like an in-person training session with Ronaldo and tickets to Binance Blockchain Week, start at 15,000 USD.
Meanwhile, the SR and R NFTs (120 SR and 1,200 R) will be offered for sale via a Subscription Mechanism, starting at 200 USD for SR and 30 USD for R. The remaining 28,000 Normal (N) NFTs will be available through the ForeverCR7 Box, priced at $10.
Perks for the holders of the first collection
Notably, holders of the inaugural 2022 CR7 NFT collection not only gain access to this second set but may also receive complimentary NFT Mystery Boxes and high-rarity NFTs from this drop.
Despite the undoing regulatory hurdles faced by Binance, the company is determined to make the ForeverCR7 collection a success, similar to the first NFT drop. It’s quite possible that we will witness Binance invest in sport-based web3 projects, with football being the prime candidate amongst sports.
